Do you want to accept Amazon Payments on your website?

Integrate within few minutes and accept payments on your website with "Pay Now" button. Give your customers a familiar Amazon payments experience and fraud protection.

You can also integrate with Amazon Flexible Payments Service (Amazon FPS) for a more customized payment experience. Amazon FPS is a set of web services APIs designed from the ground up specifically for developers.

virtuemart hasn't come up with a payment module for it yet.   Angry  But I'm curious to know whether anyone else has tried it yet.

Hey Sylvia,
Although I can't help you out with your actual question, I did go over and read about Amazon's Payment system. This is like having Paypal or Google Checkout yes? Same basic concept?

Yep, it sure is!  As I recall, the fees were going to be the same as Paypal?

What got my attention was something else I read somewhere - that what you actually gain is the entire Amazon audience because if they are already Amazon buyers (for example, me), they already have Amazon payments accounts and can use these to pay YOU!   Shocked

I'm wanting to drop Paypal eventually, so if I  can work  my way into Amazon & Google Checkout, it would be great!

Thanks for the info Sylvia. At first I was thinking..hmm..but I already have Paypal and Google...never thought of it as a replacement for Paypal. This is something I will be seriously considering. It isn't an option for my eCrater store but might possibly be the direction I will go with my website.

Well, ya know...heck, I'd just like to try it out and see if  it brings new customers.  LOL!   Grin  Even if I don't end up replacing Paypal anytime soon, at least I'd have another option.  Who doesn't buy from Amazon anymore?
